A very important thing for composition is the rule of thirds (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rule_of_thirds). For example your second photo (water and sky) has the horizon line at the middle: it would have been much better at the top third, you waste half of the image with the plain (boring), blue sky. Speaking the sky, it is better with a few clouds, looks less plain and bluer.
In the first image you put the horizon line at a third, but at the wrong third, the sea is interesting, not the sky (the top third is practically a blue block)
I think the third image would be better if you crop out the road in the lower-left corner, it does not add anything to the image. And maybe rotate it a bit, so the horizon line is horizontal.
The fourth frame should be, IMO, framed a bit differently, with more of the cloud and less empty sky.
Yeah, art is like this: there are some rules but you are free to break them. The thing is, you should to that when you want to achieve a goal, so say something special.
For example, an image is not bad because it does not follow the rule of thirds,it is bad if it fails to communicate a message. So treat the "rules" more as "guidelines".

I hope you don't mind some feedback...
